About UsOur CompanyLori Miller, CEO and Jack Miller, President started Horizon Information Services in 2001. Throughout the first year our technicians traveled the country performing voice & data system installations for U.S. Army Reserve facilities located in Kansas, Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico. Between the years 2002 and 2005 our voice & data business continued to expand and our clientele base had broadened from government entities too other market sectors including corporate, educational, the hospitality industry, industrial and health care. By the end of 2005 we successfully completed structured cabling installations in 25 states. We’re proud to say our technicians received performance of duty honor awards from the U.S. Military. 2006 and 2007 was an inspiring growth period for us. In addition to voice & data contracts we made significant strides into the sound & communications industry. In a brief 13 month period we more than doubled our number of employees and booked business. The key to our prosperous sound & communication systems venture was the hiring of several highly regarded employees each having between fifteen and 25 years of industry experience. In March of 2007 Horizon Information Services, Inc. was officially recognized by the PA Department of General Services as a Woman Owned Business (WBE). In October of 2007 we completed a hospitality industry installation in Louisiana, our 26th state to date. A sample of our 2007 client base included Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, Bedford Springs Resort, Crossroads U.M. Church, Gateway Area School District, Ingomar U.M. Church, John J. Kane Regional Centers, Quaker Valley School District, Penn State University, Respironics, Inc., Sewickley Academy, and the University of Pittsburgh. As of January 1, 2008 we have 25 dedicated employees working at Horizon Information Services Inc. Our team possesses a wealth of sales, technical and design talent specializing in various areas of expertise. When the business began in 2001 our primary goal was to build a proficient and veteran staff affording us the opportunity to effectively grow the business and we’ve done so. We want to thank the many customers, architects, a/v consultants, engineers, electrical contractors, general contractors and manufacturer representatives who support our cause. Developing respectable business relationships with each of you has greatly impacted our ability to grow. As we continue to expand we’re always searching for quality people and talent.
