The heart of a lighting system is the dimming system. As opposed to typical rheostat wall controls, a properly installation dimming system will not cause noise and hum in your audio systems. Sizes range from simple 8 channel wall dimmers to large scale rack systems in 24, 48, and 96 channel increments. Horizon can also recommend the proper control console for complex scene programming or simple wall panel presets for custodial or volunteer staff members.
Conventional lighting fixtures are the staple of a solid lighting design. These fixtures include standard Par Cans, Fresnels, Ellipsoidals, Border Lights, and Cyc Lights. Horizon can even provide fixtures suitable for video recording such as dimmable fluorescent fixtures. 
One of the most impressive additions to a conventional lighting design includes that of moving mirror or moving yoke fixtures also known as intelligent lighting. These fixtures offer the flexibility of multiple positions, gobos, preset color, color mixing, and special effects. One intelligent fixture can effectively replace that of many fixed conventional fixtures. Intelligent fixtures also let you immediately change the entire mood of a stage or venue simply at the touch of a button.
LED fixtures have been the next big thing since moving lights. Although the upfront cost of an LED fixture can be 2-3 times the cost of a standard fixture, the average bulb life of an LED is 50,000 hours as opposed to a typical 2000 hours halogen lamp. Not only do you have the cost of the bulb to contend with but also the hours of labor in climbing a ladder or scaffolding to replace that fixture or the chance that that bulb is going to burn out during a performance. From par cans to moving yoke fixtures, LED is proving to be the investment of the future.
